A talent show, chili cook-off, volleyball game and Halloween event comprise the events for this year’s Family Weekend at the University of ºÚË¿ÄÚÉäÊÓƵ – Fort Smith, held Oct. 26-27.
The weekend’s events, which offer students’ families and community members to experience the ºÚË¿ÄÚÉäÊÓƵ campus, are free and open to the public.
The schedule of events are:
Friday, Oct. 26
6-7 p.m.: Reception and check-in at the Boreham Library patio, co-hosted by the Student Activities Office and Greek Life and Leadership.
7 p.m.: Greek talent show at the amphitheater, hosted by the Greek board.
Saturday, Oct. 27
11 a.m.-1 p.m.: Chili cook-off and tailgate at the Stubblefield Center parking lot.
1 p.m.: Lady Lions volleyball game vs. St. Edwards at the Stubblefield Center.
6-10 p.m.: Haunted Union in the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center. The award-winning Halloween event offers carnival games, trunk-or-treat, and a haunted house.
This marks the third year ºÚË¿ÄÚÉäÊÓƵ has held Family Weekend after the university’s Student Government Association voted to move Homecoming to the spring semester.
