End of the Semester
As we come to the end of another wonderful semester at the University of ºÚË¿ÄÚÉäÊÓƵ – Fort Smith, I reflect on the excellent educational, social, and vocational opportunities this place has brought to so many through the years. Commencements are my favorite activities of the year as they symbolize the culmination of the hard work of students and the faculty and staff who work tirelessly to educate and support them through their journeys. I hope you will join us for one of the three graduation ceremonies we are holding tomorrow at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the Stubblefield Center. Graduates: I cannot wait to hand you the degrees you have worked so hard to earn!
ºÚË¿ÄÚÉäÊÓƵ Baseball: The Lions won the first round of the Lone Star Conference Baseball Championships by beating the Angelo State Rams 5-0! They will compete at 3 p.m. today against Lubbock Christian University. For more information about the championship tournament, please review the .
University of ºÚË¿ÄÚÉäÊÓƵ Board of Trustees: Our final meeting of the Board of Trustees will be held in Stuttgart, ºÚË¿ÄÚÉäÊÓƵ, on May 22-23. At that meeting, we will present our FY25 Budget and proposed tuition and fee increases for next academic year for approval. At the conclusion of the meeting, I will prepare a message to campus to share information about these items with all of you.
Retirees: Congratulations to all of our faculty and staff members who are retiring at the end of this year. I want to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks for your years of dedication to UA-Fort Smith. Your contributions here are meaningful and plentiful, and I hope you cherish your memories of your time with us. Enjoy your well-deserved days filled with relaxation and time with your loved ones.
As always, I am profoundly grateful to be your chancellor.
